Set the joy of life in motion with a prosthesis that provides all the right moves. By demonstrating well-accepted principles of motion, the new Ceterus® is the ultimate foot of choice for rotation, shock absorption and dynamic response. Ceterus® is the one foot that has it all.

A Proven System for Maximizing ENERGY

The Flex-Foot® patented J-shape and CarbonX® Active Heel work together to allow amputees to expend less energy and therefore walk further, longer. This system controls the rate of forward propulsion and delivers a smooth, natural gait. Energy is stored from heel strike to foot flat and then returned to promote active tibial progression for the most effortless movements.

Responsive ROTATION for a Smoother Range of Motion

Ceterus mimics the body's normal twisting motion with a gradual resistance that never creates abrupt stops. The Torsion Control Cell reduces both rotary forces on the knee joint and shear forces on the residual limb. As the amputee pivots in any one direction, the Torsion Control Cell provides a steady, elastic movement with gradual resistance. Numerous activities can now be fully enjoyed with the rotational flexibility offered by Ceterus.

As the user pivots on Ceterus, the Torsion Control Cell is gradually twisted and compressed.
Amputees acknowledge a progressive resistance that provides natural flexibility without ever stopping abruptly.

Fully Adjustable SHOCK ABSORPTION for Optimized Function

Absorption in motion (new window)

Stress is diminished on all parts of the body with a built-in vertical shock pylon that absorbs impact during the entire stance phase.
Adjustments to the shock pylon can be fully controlled by the user to accommodate any type of activity. Ceterus® gives users the freedom to engage in varied activities without ever having to change feet or sacrifice comfort and performance.

Unique guided roll-over produces a biomechanically correct gait

Flex-Foot® Axia™ is the first product to feature a design that actually guides the foot through each step contributing to stability, balance and easy roll-over.

Flex-Foot Axia is the much-anticipated addition to the Flex-Foot range. It offers a multi-axial range of motion with moderate energy response and low build height, thus positioning itself as an optimal choice for users with medium to long residual limbs who require a comfortable and consistent gait.

For amputees who engage in low to moderate level activities, the advanced technology and functional refinements built into the foot offer the ability to navigate life?s little rough spots with safety and confidence.

Flex-Foot Axia can be used in conjunction with the FlexSkin cosmesis for women. FlexSkin is the premium silicone cover with superb "skin feel" and lifelike appearance.
